When we hear Pinot, most of us immediately think of the elegant, cherry-rich red wines popularly grown in France, Willamette Valley, and California. But the world of Pinot goes well beyond Pinot Noir, and we've got the selection to prove it. Whether its the stony minerality of a Pinot Gris, a richly textured Pinot Grigio, a white, rosé, or classic red Pinot Noir, we're confident you'll find the perfect wine for this season's fall table! He spent the next eight years working with wineries, gathering knowledge about the varieties and wines of Greece, and in 1989 he bought his first vineyard: 1.5 hectares (3.7 acres) of Moscofilero in Arcadia, Mantinia. Today, Yiannis produces wine at three estates in Greece - Tselepos Winery, his original plantings in Mantiniea, Driopi Wines, showcasing the region just over the surrounding mountains in Nemea, and Canava Chrissous, on the island of Santorini. He believes in a balanced, sustainable approach to grape growing and combines a traditional respect for the grapes and wines with a technical training from French University.
